આવડે તો વાવો અને લણો | Gujju Short Story

एक धनी सेठ था। उसके बंगले के चारों ओर एक बड़ा बगीचा था। वह बगीचा पूरी तरह से बिखरा और अस्त-व्यस्त हो गया था। सेठ ने एक माली को बुलाया और कहा,

“इस विशाल बगीचे को तुम सुंदर और मनमोहक बना दो। जो पुराना और बेकार हो गया है, उसे हटा दो। नए पौधे, पेड़ लगाओ। फूलों की क्यारियाँ बनाओ।”

माली ने कहा, “ठीक है। लेकिन कम से कम पंद्रह-बीस दिन तो लगेंगे, चलेंगे?”

सेठ बोला, “कोई बात नहीं, बस काम शुरू करो।”

माली ने बगीचे को सँभाल लिया। सेठ रोज आता, काम देखता, और जहाँ ज़रूरत हो, सुझाव देता। माली भी जैसे वह उसका खुद का बगीचा हो, वैसा दिल लगाकर काम करता।

समय पर, बीस दिनों में सारा काम पूरा हो गया। बगीचे की सूरत ही बदल गई। जो भी देखता, उसका मन खुश हो जाता। वह खुद-ब-खुद कह उठता, “वाह!”

सेठ ने कहा, “बहुत सुंदर बाग बनाया है। बोलो भाई, तुम्हें क्या देना है?”

माली मुस्कराकर बोला, “आप मुझे क्या देंगे?”

सेठ ने कहा, “तुम्हारी इच्छा से जो चाहो मांग लो, बोलो भाई।”

माली हँसते हुए बोला, “बस सेठजी, मुझे मेरा मिल गया!”

सेठ आश्चर्य से उसकी ओर देखने लगा। माली ने आगे कहा,
“देखिए, मैं यह काम पंद्रह-बीस वर्षों से कर रहा हूँ। अच्छे-अच्छे बड़े बंगलों के बाग बनाए हैं।
लेकिन आप पहले ऐसे सेठ हैं जिन्होंने मुझे एक इंसान समझा।
माली होते हुए भी आपने मेरे साथ नम्रता और समझदारी से व्यवहार किया। आपने कभी मुझे ‘तू’ कहकर नहीं बुलाया।
सम्मान से बात की। दोस्त की तरह समझाया।

आपका यह मित्रतापूर्ण व्यवहार मैंने देखा है। क्या मैं अपने मित्र से मेहनताना ले सकता हूँ? नहीं जी!”

जो विनम्रता, विवेक और नम्रता बोता है, वह जीवन में मित्रता पाता है।
जो भलाई का पौधा उगाता है, उसे प्रेम मिलता है।
जो सच्ची मित्रता में जीतता है, समझो उसे जीवन में सब कुछ मिल गया।

There once was a wealthy businessman. Around his grand bungalow was a large garden, but it had become completely disorganized and neglected.

The wealthy man called a gardener and said,
“Make this vast garden beautiful and pleasing to the eyes. Remove what is old and worn out. Plant new trees and plants. Create flower beds.”

The gardener replied, “Alright, but it will take at least fifteen to twenty days. Is that okay?”

The man said, “No problem, just begin the work.”

The gardener took charge of the garden. The rich man would come by daily, observe the progress, and give useful suggestions. The gardener worked with great dedication, as if it were his own garden.

Within twenty days, the work was completed on time. The appearance of the garden had completely transformed. Anyone who saw it felt refreshed and joyful. They couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow!”

The wealthy man said,
“The garden looks amazing! Tell me, what should I give you?”

The gardener smiled and said,
“What can you give me?”

The man said, “Whatever you feel is right, say it, brother!”

The gardener laughed and replied,
“Sir, I’ve already received my reward!”

The rich man looked at him with surprise. So the gardener continued,
“Look, I’ve been doing this work for fifteen to twenty years. I’ve worked in the gardens of many grand bungalows.
But you are the first man who treated me like a human being.
Even though I’m a gardener, you treated me with humility and wisdom.
You never used disrespectful words, never yelled at me.
You explained things with respect, like a friend.

I noticed your friendly behavior. How can I take money from a friend? No, sir!”

Whoever sows humility, wisdom, and kindness, earns true friendship in life.
Whoever nurtures goodness, receives love.
And the one who triumphs in friendship – consider that person to have gained everything in life.
